Karta Catalyst Scholarship

Karta logo

The Karta Catalyst Scholarship Program is aimed at enabling talented, low-income students from rural India to study at the University of Toronto. Potential scholars participate in the Karta Initiative prior to applying to universities in the UK and Canada. This program was first established at the University of Toronto in Fall 2019.

Once at the university, Karta Scholars receive support from the Scholarships Team at the Centre for International Experience for day-to-day concerns. In addition to working with their academic advisors, scholars are also connected with a faculty mentor and participate in numerous other enrichment activities with other scholarship students at the University of Toronto.

Scholars are shortlisted by the Karta Scholars Initiative and must also apply and be admitted by the University of Toronto through their regular admission process as well.

Please contact scholarships.cie@utoronto.ca for any questions about the Karta Catalyst Scholarship.
