Accessing Your UHIP Card and Online Registration

Sun Life is the insurance provider that will cover your eligible expenses under UHIP.

You will need to create your personal account on the Sun Life website, where you will be able to manage your personal information, view your claims or print your UHIP card.

Good to know

Your supplementary healthcare plan may use a different insurance provider and is managed by your Student Union. Make sure you contact the right office and insurance provider for any inquiries or claims!

Get Your Registration Code

Register
  • Visit mysunlife.ca and click register.
  • Enter your date of birth as day/month/year.
  • Select Canada as your country of residence and enter your postal code.
  • Click on health/dental benefits.

Enter Your Details
  • Your contract/policy number is 050150.
  • Your member ID is U+ your 10-digit student number (example: U1000123321) or UT+ your 9-digit student number (example: UT997123321).
  • Click next.

Get Your Registration Code
  • Click on “need a registration code”. If your email address is on file, a code will be emailed to you.
  • Open the email from Sun Life containing your registration code.
  • If your email is not on file, you won’t be able to register for your account. You first need to activate your UtorID and then contact uhip.information@utoronto.ca.
