CBIE is looking for event volunteers!
CBIE2022 is Canada’s international education (IE) conference that brings together +800 international education practitioners from Canada and around the world to learn, be inspired and connect. Learn more here.
To help support our conference, CBIE is looking for student volunteers fluent in English or French who are available to commit to at least two four-hour shifts from November 13-16 and attend a mandatory orientation on November 12 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Assignments include:
Registration desk
This includes welcoming attendees, helping with onsite registration, troubleshooting with CBIE staff any issues, handing out name badges and gift items, and verifying Covid vaccine documents.
Lobby ambassadors
This includes answering questions, directing people to various locations, and verifying COVID vaccine documents.
Session monitoring This includes scanning QR codes to check people into sessions, managing room capacity, and troubleshooting with CBIE staff, any issues that arise.
In appreciation, students will receive access to conference sessions, exposure to world-class speakers, a great learning and networking opportunity, lunch and a letter confirming their contribution and participation.
The deadline to sign up to volunteer is October 15.
