How to get involved with CIE in Winter 2022
Are you interested in learning how to get involved during Winter 2022? Or gaining global experiences with other like-minded students on campus? Or meeting new people from other cultures?
Attend the How to Get Involved with CIE in Winter 2022 info session and find out how more about the programs offered by the Centre for International Experience (CIE). In this session, we will share information about our upcoming programming during the Winter 2022 term. Programs include the Language Exchange Program for practicing languages, the Intercultural Learning Program for developing intercultural competency (CCR eligible program), and other programming for international students with focuses on wellness, academic, cultures and more. We welcome all U of T students to participate!
Toronto tips: winter edition
Did the fall semester bring some unexpected surprises? Are you looking for resources to help you start the winter term off well? Will this be your first winter in Toronto and you want to learn how to enjoy it? Sign up for Toronto Tips: Winter Edition, a follow up to our Toronto Tips during orientation.
Your ISE Ambassadors will share their tips and experiences when it comes to making the most of winter in Toronto, engaging with supports and resources on campus, and more followed by a Q&A period. Come with your questions or submit them anonymously ahead of time!
Toronto Tour Series
CIE’s Toronto Tour series is for all international students who are new to U of T and offers an opportunity to learn about and experience the community around the St George Campus. Monthly tours may include virtual art talks hosted by Toronto museums, exploring nearby neighborhoods, visiting popular destinations within the city, and more!

Coping with cultural adjustment
Studying in Canada and adjusting to a new environment can be both exciting and stressful. Join this workshop to learn more about cultural adjustment and build confidence in navigating a new or unfamiliar environment. Through this workshop, we will share tips and strategies to cope with cultural adjustment and do fun trivia to learn more about Canada.

Drop-in q&a sessions for international students: winter Semester
Are you a first-year or upper-year international student who:
- is arriving in Toronto for the start of winter semester
- would benefit from an orientation “refresher”
- has questions about better understanding academic expectations and practices at the university
- wants to learn more about resources offered by Academic Success and the Centre for International Experience (CIE)?
Then this space is for you! Join this virtual session co-facilitated by friendly advisors from Academic Success and CIE. They can answer your questions, offer updates, and provide support to you about learning remotely or in-person this year or finding community as an international student.
All questions are welcome in this space, and you can join for however long you would like. You will have the option to participate either using your microphone or typing out your questions.
