deTOurs: Visit the Toronto Islands
Aug 15 2025 @ 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Join CIE and other international students as we spend a summer day at the Toronto Islands. As a group, we will travel together by ferry, engage in a few group activities, and then spend the afternoon exploring the islands. The islands are filled with fun activities like the Centreville Amusement Park, bike rentals, beach volleyball courts, and a hedge maze. The islands are also one of the most scenic places in Toronto with multiple beaches and parks to relax and sunbathe; the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse; and it has the most stunning views of Toronto. The ferry will be covered by CIE; however, participants are expected to bring their own lunch or purchase their lunch at one of the many restaurants or food stands on the islands.
We will meet at Cumberland House at 9:30 a.m., and leave at 9:45 a.m. to get to the Jack Layton ferry terminal to get on the 10:30 a.m. ferry going to Ward’s Island. After our eventful day on the islands, we will meet at the Centre Island Ferry Dock at 4:45 p.m. to get on the 5:00 p.m. ferry back to mainland Toronto.
Reserve your spot quickly because space is limited for this refreshing and fun-filled trip!
