Indigenous Learning in Local and Global Contexts

The Indigenous Learning in Local & Global Contexts Program provides you with opportunities to deepen your awareness and understanding of issues facing Indigenous peoples in Canada and around the world. Through this program, you will learn about the history and cultures of Indigenous peoples, explore historic and contemporary social justice issues faced by the Indigenous communities and their resilience, and examine their interconnectedness in local and global contexts.
Successful program completion is eligible for CCR credit.
To obtain CCR credit for this program, students must:
- Attend 3 sessions hosted by the Centre for International Experience (held on Jan 15, Jan 29, and Feb 12)
- Attend any 2 sessions hosted by the Indigenous Initiatives office
- Complete a brief final reflection on Indigenous issues in local and global contexts.
