Interfaith Meals: Community Iftar

Join the Multi-Faith Centre and Centre for International Experience for a special Interfaith Iftar Dinner, an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. The event will feature an Iftar meal to break the fast, as well as opportunities to learn about the significance of Ramadan and the shared values of compassion, generosity, and unity. People from all faith backgrounds are invited to participate in this communal gathering to experience the spirit of Ramadan firsthand.
Iftar is a cherished practice for Muslims during Ramadan, where they break their fast after sunset with family and community. The Iftar Interfaith Meal extends this sacred tradition to all, inviting individuals from various faiths to join in the shared experience of breaking the fast, building connections, and fostering understanding across cultural and religious lines.
Throughout the evening, attendees will learn about the core tenets of Ramadan, the significance of fasting, and the act of giving to those in need. In the spirit of interfaith dialogue, the meal will be accompanied by reflections, discussions, and opportunities to share experiences of faith and spirituality.
