In partnership with CIE and CxEd, the International Student Career Discovery Support Group is dedicated to helping international students smoothly transition into their chosen career fields. Our goal is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and support they need. We also aim to acknowledge the various challenges faced by international students.

This support group is carefully crafted to give participants a well-rounded understanding of themselves, career development, while building community among international students as finding a job can be an isolating process.

An integral part of this support group is its focus on cultivating career awareness through a structured 3-step self-inquiry process:

· Know Yourself (Self-awareness): Participants explore their passions and strengths. Think about what they love and what they are good at.

· Express Yourself (self-expression): Participants are encouraged to articulate their unique narratives. Share their story in a meaningful way that shows who their authentic-self in the professional world.

· Think About Your Path (self-reflection): serving as a compass, self-reflection can guide international students through the twists and turns of their intercultural experiences. This can help students navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and keep growing.

Registrants are expected to attend the three in-person sessions scheduled in February 2024.
